Types of Visa in Malaysia

Visit Malaysia is a dream that is valid for the majority, but before you go on a journey, you should apply for a visa. You can apply for a visa that you need to satisfy the Malaysian needs. Most of us have a serious suspicion about what visas are needed for which documents are needed. As a result, with the joy and enthusiasm of traveling to another country, there is a mess of adding visa documents.

Single Entry Visa

It is issued to foreign nationals who need a visa to enter Malaysia for social travel. This usually applies for one entry for a period of three (3) months from the date of issue.

Multiple Entry Visa

It is issued to foreign nationals who require a visa in order to enter business in Malaysia or enter government affairs in government matters. It usually applies within three (3) months to twelve (12) months for the duration. The citizens of India and People's Republic of China, who want to enter Malaysia for the purpose of a social meeting, are eligible to apply for multiple entry visas. The validity of multiple entry visas is one (1) year. Each entry is allowed for only 30 days and extension of accommodation.

Multiple visa requirements are:

  • The applicant should provide proof of the necessary funds for staying in Malaysia
  • The applicant must have a valid and confirmed return ticket
  • Tourist groups do not have the right to apply for a multiple entry visa.
  • For citizens of the People's Republic of China, for a multiple entry visa, RM100.00 and RM30.00 are spent on Indian citizens.

Transit Visa

It is issued to foreign nationals who need a visa to travel to other countries on their way to Malaysia. Without leaving the immigrant of the airport, foreign transit nationals and those who continue traveling on the second floor of the same flight do not need a transit visa.

  3. Thanks for sharing such an informative post.
The government of Malaysia introduced Malaysia eNTRI, Electronic Travel Registration and Information system, for citizens of India and the People’s Republic of China. The eNTRI is an electronic travel authorization that grants its holder a stay of 15 days in Malaysia. Indian and Chinese travelers must note that the eNTRI visa waiver is single-entry only.
